Saturday

Today I got a pet. Mommy gave me the pet because I really like them. Danielle plays with them but she doesn't want me to touch any of them because they are hers. Now that I have a pet Danielle wants to play together. My pet is new and it is called Tex. It is cleaner than Danielle's pets.
Danielle moved her chair by mine at the table. She likes to sit next to me. I like to try to take food off of her plate. It is so funny to play with my sister. I'm glad she likes me more now that I have my own pet.

Friday

You know those puzzles that no one can get apart?
Mark can. Every time we change his diaper he needs something to occupy his hands or he has to crawl away. Since the changing table/dresser is by John's desk we gave him one of those cool little puzzles to try to get apart.
Very soon Mark had two little pieces in his hands. He still shook them around.
Now I wish he could teach me how to solve it.
Mark Loves it when daddy holds him most of all.

It is so funny and exciting to have daddy home this week.

Thursday

I really like cliombing in things. At least I think I would. Dad put a gate at the bottom of the stairs because he saw me on them- well I stand up next to them and I like to hit them. I think it's like petting them. I pet the dog too. When I get really excited I jump up and down a little bit and pat things.
I don't like to smile at the camera anymore. It bores me.

Wednesday

I like to stand up. I can pull myself up. It helps me not sleep. I get to pull myself up when I want things or crawl into mommy's lap when I am hungry. Mommy and Daddy lowered my crib all the way a few days ago. I think I might be able to crawl out of it soon anyway. I am pretty tall so it might work. I'm not sad in my bed when mommy plays in the room with me. Daddy and I played in my room today too. I like to stand up and bang on toys.

The faces of Baby Mark.

Baby Mark likes to make funny faces. lately he is really driven to get what he wants. I never thought he would be super driven and want things. He crawls really fast though and he pulls himself up. Today he took a step while he was holding himself up. He was trying to steal the camera from me. He loves the super loud piano toy.

Tuesday Grouchy

Today I was really mad. First, mom wanted me to eat. Then she wanted me to take a nap. I don't want to take naps. I didn't take a nap all morning- I was really mad. then I slept for 30 minutes. Mom should have known that I didn't want a nap. I was too tired to feed myself and I didn't want to be left on the floor.
Mom thinks I am getting the cold that she has.
I am mad that people don't hold me all day.

Monday Chore Day

Today I helped mom groom the dog. I grabbed clumps of hair from him and hit him a lot and she brushed him. Since he is shedding I am usually pretty much covered in hair.


I remember the first time Danielle had dog hair in her diaper I almost flipped out. I hated having dog hair all over everything. She was born in April so the dogs were shedding when she was pretty small for the summer. Mark seems to love being covered in dog hair. He pulls out a fist full of hair and laughs. Then does it again. The funny thing is that Austin seems to actually like it- he rolls on his back and does his happy Austin droll. I guess Mark just isn't powerful enough and our dog does love to be groomed.

Sunday

Today I got to go home early from Church. Mom let me take a nap at home. I like to sit and look at my hands at church. They move around really well. I like watching people but I usually don't smile for them. Other people scare me. I like my mommy most of all. I crawl into her lap when I want to eat. I only crawl to go see Austin and mommy. Sometimes I reach for daddy too. Mom is sick so daddy played with me a lot today.
Mommy tells me she isn't going to use the cloth diapers anymore until we get more than five and we have a diaper sprayer so she doesn't have to use the kitchen sink sprayer in a bucket. I told her it was fine. maybe just because she is sick.
